One Beach at a Time: Hello Puerto Galera!

So here's our beachy moment.

Money on hand: P3000.

White Beach, Puerto Galera

Traveling to Puerto Galera is not much of what I'd expected. It was so easy! I was scared before, because it's to far (i guess not that far) but I'm used to travel (by land only). It was an easy two-hour bus ride going to Batangas Port (see fare below). After that we bought tickets via Gallerian Shipping and waited for almost an hour before we can travel via boat/ferry.It was an ok-ok travel by sea, 1 hour and 20mins (30mins  top).

Hello White Beach!

(I'm with my HS Friends, it's our first time to travel off shore. What a loser! Haha)

There are lots of hotel and lodging in the area. We already reserved a slot with White Beach Lodge located near the city proper. It's a 20min-walk from the shore.
The place was accomadating, owned by a foreigner and his Filipina wife. You can choose between P3500-P4500 lodging (with aircon). Some of the unit have kitchen inside it.  At the back of the lodge, you can find a Pizzateria (a very affordable one) owned by an Italian. The pizza ranges from P149 - onwards. They also served pasta and alcoholic drinks. There's also a talipapa or mini-wet market near our White Beach Lodge.

For affordable meals, you can choose from simple Carinderia to a fine dining. Most of the Carinderia serves P50 for meat and P25 for rice. Not bad for tight-budgeted trip like this. There's also Inasal house who serves unlimited rice. :)

PS: If you really love soda, please bring your own stacks. A 1.5L coke costs P90.

Day2 was a blast! We did Island hopping, snorkeling and tour the cave of Galera.

Here's our travel expenses:
To Batangas Port (via Jam at Kamuning) - P175
To White Beach (via Gallerian Shipping) - P500 (roundtrip, it is best if you get the roundtrip ticket because the cost of oneway trip is P275)
White Beach Lodge - P3500 (lodging expenses divided into 8 equal parts)
Budget for food and drinks - P300
Budget for Pasalubongs - P500

It's late and it's hot. Living in a tropical country has it's own disadvantages and one of them is this unbearable hotness we have to endure everyday! Some may say that it's the perfect weather, to enjoy the beach, after all we live in an island full of wonderful and beautiful beaches. But we, people, have to work to pay those expensive trips! And we can't afford to stay and use all our money just to enjoy this no-quite-like-able weather. Here's today weather forecast:
